SOH Jordan 2.0

Symphony of Hope is preparing to repioneer its work in Jordan, building on a foundation of music education as a bridge for cultural connection and regional collaboration. Future initiatives will focus on equipping children and youth through creative education, using music as a shared language to foster unity, dignity, and hope across diverse communities. As plans develop, Jordan is envisioned as a strategic gateway for Symphony of Hope’s continued presence in the region—opening pathways for cross-cultural exchange, youth development, and long-term relational investment throughout neighboring nations.

SOH South Africa (Worcester)

SOH South Africa (Worcester)

Symphony of Hope South Africa was launched through the YWAM base in Worcester. From its foundation, this initiative was intentionally focused on reconciliation—bringing African and Afrikaans children together through music education in a nation still healing from deep racial and cultural divisions.

 By learning and performing side by side, students built mutual respect, unity, and shared purpose, while developing musical skills that extended beyond the classroom. As the original group of students grew older and naturally aged out of the program, Symphony of Hope South Africa concluded its active season, leaving behind lasting relationships, shared experiences, and a foundation of unity shaped through music.

SOH Pacific 2.0

Their performance of Kosrae’s national anthem has since been adopted for official functions, and Symphony of Hope has received invitations to continue serving across Micronesia. After a season of pause following the sudden loss of the organization’s founder, Symphony of Hope Pacific is preparing to relaunch—carrying forward this legacy and opening new pathways for music education and youth engagement throughout the islands.

In partnership with local organizations in Muizenberg, South Africa, Symphony of Hope is preparing to launch a long-term initiative designed to bring together children from diverse cultural backgrounds through music education. The program will begin with a two-week intensive introducing students to the violin and themes of reconciliation and unity, followed by ongoing online instruction and community-based mentorship.

This initiative seeks to cultivate confident, compassionate young leaders—empowered through music, strengthened by shared experiences, and equipped to contribute to greater understanding and cohesion within their communities.

Plans are in development to establish a Symphony of Hope presence in Israel, continuing the organization’s vision of using music as a bridge for reconciliation and meaningful connection. This future initiative aims to foster dialogue, cultural understanding, and collaboration through shared musical experiences in the heart of the Middle East.

In 2026, Symphony of Hope plans to relaunch its program at the Bad Blankenburg base in Germany to serve Ukrainian refugee children. Returning to the site of one of its earliest long-term programs, this initiative seeks to support a new generation through music education—using creative engagement as a source of comfort, resilience, and reconciliation during a season of displacement and transition.

Plans are underway to establish a Symphony of Hope program in the United States focused on supporting children who have been rescued from trafficking. Through music education and creative expression, the initiative will provide safe, supportive environments that promote healing, self-worth, and joy, helping children rediscover their voices and build pathways toward restoration and long-term well-being.

In Cinco Saltos, Argentina, Symphony of Hope is preparing to launch a long-term initiative serving under-resourced youth through music education, creative arts, and sports. Beginning with a Creative Arts and Sports Camp in partnership with local community organizations, the program aims to nurture creativity, strengthen personal identity, and foster resilience—planting seeds of positive change that can transform both individuals and the wider community for generations to come.

In 2024, musical representatives from Symphony of Hope International—representing every inhabited continent—gathered in Washington, D.C. to participate in a series of high-profile cultural and diplomatic events surrounding the National Prayer Breakfast. Through curated musical performances, Symphony of Hope shared the voices and stories of children and young leaders from around the world at venues including the House of Representatives, the Library of Congress, the Capitol Rotunda, and before more than 3,500 international government representatives.

Additional performances and presentations took place with Ukrainian military representatives and members of the Ukrainian government during related international gatherings that week. These annual opportunities allow Symphony of Hope to elevate young musicians on a global stage, using music as a unifying language that fosters dialogue, cultural understanding, and hope across borders.

A former Symphony of Hope student from Bad Blankenburg, Germany went on to pioneer and lead a Symphony of Hope base at an international campus in Lausanne, Switzerland. This milestone reflected a core value of the organization: equipping students not only as learners, but as leaders capable of multiplying impact.

The program served both Middle Eastern refugee children and local Swiss students, using music education as a means of connection, inclusion, and shared growth. While the program has since concluded, its influence continues through the lives of the children and families impacted, carrying forward the confidence, skills, and relationships formed during their time with Symphony of Hope.

Based at the University of the Nations in Kona, Symphony of Hope Pacific invested in indigenous children from Micronesia through ongoing classes and a 14-day outreach to the island of Kosrae. During this time, children performed for local leaders and government officials, strengthening cultural pride and community connection.

In Jordan, 45 children learned to play their national anthem on the violin, culminating in a professionally filmed media project at Petra. This project opened doors for Symphony of Hope to explore future initiatives in neighboring nations, positioning music as a bridge for cross-cultural collaboration and regional connection.

These early efforts laid the groundwork for a long-term Symphony of Hope presence in the region, with music education serving as a foundation for future programs focused on youth development and cultural exchange.

Symphony of Hope Germany began by serving Syrian, Afghan, Iranian, Iraqi, and Kurdish refugee children alongside students from former East Germany. Within two weeks, more than 50 students participated, culminating in a small performance that received recognition from then-Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Even during the global pandemic, weekly online classes continued, providing consistency and connection for students during a season of isolation. One long-term participant—an Afghan refugee who studied with Symphony of Hope for six years—went on to complete a six-month international leadership and service program, reflecting the long-term impact of sustained mentorship and creative education. While many original students have since aged out of the program, relationships remain strong through ongoing friendship, mentorship, and continued personal growth.

Symphony of Hope Papua New Guinea launched in Madang Province, where children—many of whom had never seen a violin before—began learning both their national anthem and the anthem of Argentina as part of a cross-cultural exchange. Within weeks, these students courageously shared their music and personal stories before an audience of over 160,000 people at a large public gathering in Port Moresby, with millions more watching online.

This performance took place during a season of profound transition for the organization following the sudden loss of its founder, highlighting the resilience and determination of the students involved. What began as a first encounter with music has grown into a movement centered on creative expression, cultural pride, and youth leadership—amplifying young voices and fostering hope across the nation.

In Pakistan, 38 children from regions across the country gathered for a two-week intensive music program where they learned to perform their national anthem on violin—most encountering the instrument for the first time. In addition to music instruction, the program provided meals, lodging, games, and a sports camp that fostered teamwork and connection.

Children from people groups that rarely interact were intentionally placed on the same teams, creating powerful opportunities for reconciliation, cooperation, and mutual understanding. What began as a short-term camp has since grown into a long-term initiative, with ongoing online violin classes providing consistent instruction and access to music education for children throughout the nation.

Symphony of Hope India began in 2014 with a group of orphaned children from Odisha who had experienced profound loss and trauma. Through weekly online violin classes, these students were introduced to music for the first time, while also receiving stability, encouragement, and a renewed sense of identity and purpose.

Over the years, the students have grown significantly in both skill and leadership capacity. Some of the original participants have since expressed a desire to continue with Symphony of Hope as long-term educators, helping to teach and mentor others. What began as a program offering comfort and creative expression for grieving children has developed into a pathway for leadership development, educational continuity, and community impact across India.

SOH Canada (Okanagan Nation)

Symphony of Hope launched its work in the Okanagan Nation of Canada in 2023, beginning with a one-week intensive where 25 children learned to perform their national anthem on violin. This milestone initiated an invitation from the community’s chief that welcome Symphony of Hope and partner educators onto the reservation to share music education and build meaningful relationships.

What began as a single music camp became a historic moment of reconciliation and trust-building, laying the foundation for long-term collaboration and renewed hope within the community. Today, the program continues through an ongoing after-school music initiative, providing consistent violin instruction that empowers the next generation to grow in both musical skill and personal confidence.

SOH East Timor (Timor-Leste)

SOH East Timor (Timor-Leste)

In 2025, Symphony of Hope International brought 25 violins into Timor-Leste for the first time, launching a historic two-week intensive program where local children learned to perform their national anthem. Their music and personal stories reached national leaders, including the President and Prime Minister, and were featured at the inauguration of the Israeli Embassy—an event of international significance.

At the same time, Symphony of Hope secured long-term visas for partner educators working in the country, enabling sustained programming and local capacity-building. What began as a simple introduction to violin has since grown into a permanent Symphony of Hope base, equipping Timorese children with music education, mentorship, and leadership development to positively impact their communities and represent their nation on a global stage.
